The Old Fire Engine House Restaurant is looking for a full-time cook (approx. 38 hours a week inc. two weekends a month) to join our small and friendly team in the New Year.  Experience of cooking in a commercial kitchen (restaurant or otherwise) would be ideal, but more than anything we are looking for someone with enthusiasm and a real interest in cooking good, seasonal British food.  Our kitchen is busy so being able to cope well with the demands of this is essential, as is the ability to work well in a small team.  Full training will be given, so if you’ve got the interest, but are worried about your lack of experience, please don’t be put off from phoning to discuss the role!

Our restaurant has been open for over 50 years and over this time we have built up a reputation not only for good food but for providing a cheerful, homely, and welcoming atmosphere, a place where our customers feel part of the family too.  We really want our successful applicant to be part of this too.
